These rules explain what changes when CharWok offers email lessons, paid digital products, affiliate links, or sponsored work. A feature that is not configured does not collect information or accept payment.
Last reviewed: August 6, 2026When email signup is available, the form identifies the mailing provider and links to its privacy policy before submission. The address is sent directly to that provider for the requested lessons and related CharWok updates. CharWok’s analytics events never include the address or form text. Every marketing email must include an unsubscribe method.
Payment is accepted only through the named checkout provider shown beside the purchase control. That provider displays the seller of record, final price, taxes, payment methods, refund terms, and its own privacy rules before payment. Purchased files are licensed for the buyer’s personal or household use and may not be resold, republished, or shared as a download library.
Some future equipment or ingredient links may earn CharWok a commission without changing the reader’s price. A commission relationship will be stated beside the recommendation, in the same language as the page. Payment never guarantees a positive recommendation, and CharWok will not claim first-hand use without documented review.
Paid placements will be labelled as advertising or sponsored content near the placement. Sponsors may review factual brand details but do not receive the right to rewrite an editorial conclusion, hide a material limitation, or purchase a fabricated reader testimonial.
Google Analytics 4 stays off until the reader allows analytics. The choice is saved on that device and can be changed from the footer. If allowed, Google may receive first-party analytics identifiers, a query-free page path, page title, a limited referrer (a query-free path for CharWok pages or only the origin for another site), browser or device details, approximate location, and a strictly allowlisted set of interactions; advertising signals and ad personalization remain disabled. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track also keeps Analytics off. Raw search terms, email addresses, form text, and recipe inputs are excluded from CharWok’s custom analytics events. External email, checkout, affiliate, or contact services receive information only after the reader deliberately uses the relevant control.
Paid packaging does not lower the editorial standard. Quantities and cooking instructions continue to come from the linked recipe pages; unsupported timing, yield, testing, nutritional, or outcome claims are not added. Confirmed errors are corrected across every affected language version.
A public contact channel is not active yet. Checkout, sponsorship requests, and paid launch remain disabled until one is verified.
